#ThinkingOutsideOfJacksBox 30+

It’s been month, and I haven’t heard anything from Jack In the Box regarding them wanting to bring me in for interviewing, bummer. But I’m not going to give up, there’s still a possibility, with a lot of prayer. I’ve exhausted all of my creative tactics in regards to that organization — and exerted all new efforts for other orgs. that I am interested in s well. My creative energy never ends 🙂 I think if different ways to showcase and stand out for others.

What have I done? I’ve started a campaign to get their attention.. tweeting witty comments, my strong points, reasons why they should hire sayings…to shocwcase my writing …well in a 140 characters at least…my motivation and committment for the role, and fervent interest. I’ve gotten a mild response from posting on their facebook career page with “liked” responses, and then on Twitter Jack himself started to follow me!! 😀 The momentum was going…and then flat…lol I just don’t know, I’m still going at it, I won’t faulter…I promise you, b/c then that’s not motivation for you to read. I’m about motivating!

Friends, my networking acumen has been on 10+ I met some key people during the Gray Golf Classic Weekend, that was fab! 🙂  The welcome reception, was great, I really worked that room, trying to figure out who I needed to speak with, did that…. got their cards, met some important VP’s at Food Lion Corp, and the Black Chamber of Commerce. The women’s Brunch was amazing, it was just a camaraderie fest of women! I just hope all this networking actually turns into something 😐

…Im not much in the blogging mood right now, so I will cut this short. Check back soon.

Red, White, and feeling a little Blue

…I usually spend this time with family, and some friends, however this 4th of July it’s kind of bitter sweet. Because I’m in the city I’ve always pined over, yet my family is over 800 miles away, I’m still job prospecting, and my friends are back in Milwaukee…most assuredly they would have done SOMETHING. However… I’m still building my social friendship network in Charlotte, and while I’ve met a few good and so/so people here and there, even on twitter…I haven’t exerted myself enough socially to be close enough to some. It’s surface friendships, and I’m okay with that, I’m the new kid on the block, and it will take time. I really can’t wait to get settled, so that I can entertain folks. — It’s just a little *sigh* for me, because I wasn’t invited anywhere, and I usually am back in Milwaukee.

So today, I’m still trying to figure out what I actually plan to do besides work on stuff that I’ve committed myself to. I know it will all pay off in the end…it has to have an expiration date (sands church service yesterday). I know I’m going to get THAT JOB, and I’m going to be happy with it, because God is setting me up for something great…I just know it!

So, what I can do in the meantime is reflect on the 4th’s that have meant the most to me, and the people or person that I spent it with 🙂 Makes me smile just thinking about it …hey it helped. So if you’re reading this post…thank you, and know my heart is in the right place, because I want to spend those important moments with people that mean something to me, and I’m a little sad because I can’t right now.

Happy Independence Day 🙂

P.S. Follow #ThinkingOutsideOfJacksBox in my quest for THE ROLE

UPDATE: …a friend and I (from Milwaukee) in Charlotte, actually tentatively set up an outing today. Yaay!! Hope she doesn’t flake.

Dinner With the President Contest

I would absolutely love to meet President Obama. The closest that I ever came is when he was running in 2008, and I attended one of his Wisconsin town hall meetings (Wisconsin is an important State to win). What if I won? …what would I say to the Commander in Chief? I whole lot, if I actually thought about it. On second thought, I wouldn’t waste my time with the President on political rhetoric – – about what he could be doing. But on third thought, that would be the opportune time! But on fourth thought….lol I have my opnions, as does the rest of the country, and this would be my moment to spend. – – On final thought, I would have a few poignant questions..LOL! It is a goal of mine to meet the President and Michelle 🙂

In addition, this is an effective fundraising strategy…people really want to sit and meet with him, and if donating an amount as diminutive as $5 – $10 can get me a meeting with the President…I’d do it! 🙂
